Erik Gibelyou (guitar) and Elizabeth Clawson (bass) began playing contemporary classical music together in 2019. Together they have cultivated a concert program of the most intriguing music written for double bass and classical guitar, including Just A Glimpse Of (2019)—written for them by composer Anthony Caulkins. Their concert program balances fun, immediately accessible music with daring compositions that explore the sonic possibilities of their instruments. The duo met while studying music at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Clawson now resides in Chicago, while Gibelyou is finishing his studies at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
