Ireland’s Boxing Banjo has amassed more than 20 Irish championship titles and 4 World bodhrán titles making its four members some of the most well respected in the country. Having made their debut in the US in 2019, Boxing Banjo has already earned a following from being included in some of the top USA celtic events and earned the  “Up & Coming Band of the Year” at the 2020 American Listener Supported Radio Celtic Music Awards. Boxing Banjo’s music combines a range of instruments including the button accordion, tenor banjo, guitar, fiddle, and bodhrán, and features the group’s strong vocal arrangements. Boxing Banjo has toured extensively around the world, including in Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, and the US. They released their debut album in February 2018 to critical acclaim, and released their second studio album, “Round 2,” in May 2022. The album features a combination of vocal and instrumental songs and was one of the most anticipated Irish releases of the year, having earned a major new following from debuting on Ireland’s The Late Late Show, the world’s second longest-running late-night talk show, in January 2022.  Boxing Banjo receives support from Culture Island.
