✫ UPDATE from the band:
Hi everyone!
When you tour together as long and relentlessly as we have in Enter the Haggis, you become as close as a family. We’ve faced a ton of ups and downs together, and it’s amazing and humbling to look back at all the mountains we’ve climbed.
Our ETH family is facing a tough new challenge right now. Trevor’s son, Dale - a bright, funny, compassionate young man in sixth grade, has a tumor in his brain. Trevor's family has been on a very difficult journey as surgeons and oncologists at multiple hospitals work towards a treatment plan, but they don’t have a clear diagnosis just yet and the uncertainty surrounding Dale’s immediate future requires the full attention and support of his family. As a result, Trevor has decided to pull out of the upcoming Enter the Haggis tour, and to stay home with Michelle and the kids until they have a clearer picture of how Dale’s treatment program will impact their day-to-day lives. We know the Haggis Head community is a tight-knit group of wonderful folks, and we thank you all in advance for your support of Dale and the Lewington family while they ready themselves for a heroic fight.
Regarding the upcoming tour, we can’t pretend our musical efforts won’t be impacted. Trevor is a massive and irreplaceable part of Enter the Haggis, and there isn’t really a long-term version of the band that we can imagine ourselves pushing forward with in his absence. The rest of us have made the decision to go ahead with the shows on the Feb/Mar tour, and to put on the best version of an ETH show that we can without him. This is going to require a lot of creativity on our part, and a bit of understanding from those of you who are coming to rock out with us over the next few weeks. We aren’t going to be able to play every song you might be hoping to hear; on the other hand, you’ll definitely be hearing songs we haven’t played live in years! We’ll be switching up instruments, trying out new arrangements, and hopefully featuring some guests as the tour progresses. We can say, without a doubt, that the shows on this tour will be unlike any ETH shows you’ve seen before. We promise that while Trevor’s absence will leave a huge hole - both onstage and in our hearts - we’re working overtime to make sure the performances you’re paying to see over the next couple of months are as unique and exciting as any you’ve seen over the last 20+ years.
Speaking of 20+ years: this was supposed to be the Casualties of Retail 20th Anniversary Tour! Our plan was to play the whole album, start to finish, at every show. That’s not going to be possible now, but we still plan to feature as much of that music as we can reasonably pull off. We’ve also got some really cool Casualties-themed tour shirts on the way, which you can grab at the merch table at an upcoming show.
It’s our hope that our spring tour is the only one impacted by this tough situation. Camp Haggis 2025 will go ahead as planned, and we’re optimistic that Trevor will be back in the saddle in time for this summer’s festivals. If that changes for any reason, we’ll let you all know as soon as we make any decisions.
Trevor is grateful for your love and understanding, and he looks forward to seeing everyone very soon.
We know you’re all very kind and generous people, and we plan to figure out ways you can help support Trevor’s family more directly if that’s something you’d like to do. We’ll be in touch soon with more information. In the meantime, we’ll continue working on music for the upcoming tour, and we can’t wait to see you all on the road!
With love,
-ETH, Trevor, Michelle, Graeme and Dale.

For the better part of two decades, Toronto’s Enter The Haggis has combined bagpipes and fiddles with a rock rhythm section to create a distinctively eclectic sound, praised by The Boston Globe, The Washington Post and Canada’s Globe and Mail. Their songs offer singalong melodies and deep, meaningful lyrics which tell the stories of everyday hard working people, often faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. Signature songs like “One Last Drink”, “Gasoline”, “Down With The Ship” and “Lancaster Gate” have had hundreds of thousands of plays on social media, appeared in Hollywood movies, and have been performed and recorded by artists around the world.
Enter The Haggis is clearly comfortable on the stage and develops an easy rapport with audiences, sharing the stories behind their songs and laughing through tour anecdotes. The show is exciting and dynamic, featuring unpredictable and spontaneous moments. One song might feature drummer Bruce McCarthy taking a drum solo on Trevor Lewington's guitar strings, while the next song breaks down into a fierce battle between fiddle and harmonica. Sometimes during an encore, the band will leave the stage entirely to perform acoustically standing on chairs in the audience. Rose Baldino has joined the band on fiddle, filling out the group's Celtic instrumentation. No stranger to touring and the Celtic festival scene, Baldino grew up playing with her band Burning Bridget Cleary and currently tours extensively with House of Hamill.
Enter The Haggis' commitment to putting on a great show every single night has made them a favorite at festivals and performing arts centers across the US and Canada. As a result, ETH shows have become an annual tradition on some of the most prestigious stages on the continent. The band has also brought hundreds of fans on eight tours of Ireland, forging deeper friendships with their supporters while exploring ancient landmarks and natural wonders across the country. The next trip will be to Scotland in April, 2022.
Enter The Haggis has appeared on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and "A&E’s Breakfast With The Arts", and was the feature of an hour-long PBS concert special which aired for months on more than eighty affiliate stations across the US. The band’s legions of die-hard fans (the self-described “Haggis Heads") have crowdfunded the last four ETH albums, and played a huge part in propelling the most recent full-length record to its debut at #9 on the national "Billboard Heatseekers" chart. The group’s friendly, welcoming attitude is responsible for the close relationship it has with its supporters, and all five band members truly enjoy taking time after every show to meet with people one on one.
Enter The Haggis is currently touring in support of its latest album, The Archer's Parade.
