Monkey Business Institute, Madison's favorite improv troupe since 2002, brings two of their most beloved shows to The Bur Oak for one big night of comedy! 

At 7pm join them for their signature Grown Up Show, packed full of classic improv games with a Monkey Business twist. If you're feeling brave, you might get a chance to volunteer on stage and play along.

At 9pm, settle in and enjoy the melodic magic of The Music Department, a fully improvised Broadway-style musical created right before your eyes. Expect lots of singing, dancing, a reprise or two, soulful ballads, snappy numbers, big finishes, and (if we're lucky) jazz hands. 

Monkey Business improvisers are experienced performers who bring a wide range of skills to the stage. Made up of award-winning actors, musicians, playwrights, directors, composers, youtube stars, visual artists, and stand up comedians, this is a truly special collection of local performers who love to share the joy of great improv.
