Inspired by Galeano's "Open Veins of Latin America", Desafio Candente journeys through Latin America and its history of colonialism, imperialism and Neo-liberalism; it denounces the power structures that have ruled Latin America and preyed on its people for centuries, while celebrating the resilience and diversity of its very diverse communities.  Gustavo Cortinas and his band takes you on a musical journey with this live show played to the accompanying film.
