Mad City Funk plays popular songs by artists such as: James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Kool & the Gang, Michael Jackson, the Temptations, Hall & Oates, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Al Green, Albert King, Steely Dan, and Gladys Knight, along with some of the band’s own original, funky compositions.

Mad City Funk is an energetic, dance-oriented group. They bring the funk — you bring the dancing shoes!

Led by pianist and singer Billy Joe Anderson -- yes that's his real name!  Born William Joseph Anderson near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bill started playing piano by ear at the age of 7 and began classical piano training on his 8th birthday.  Now with over 25 years of experience behind the ivory keys, Bill has a diverse range of musical influences from classical to jazz, R&B, funk, rock 'n roll, and pop music.  Bill has extensively studied Billy Joel's live and studio performances in order to capture the spirit and energy of these timeless musical masterpieces. The Affordables lineup is selected from some of the most talented and experienced musicians in the Madison, Wisconsin area.  Most are multi-instrumentalists.  All excel at what they do.  But our #1 criteria for band members is always a heartfelt passion for music, and especially for Billy Joel. .

Lake Collective is a duet led by Linell who plays some fan-favorite covers all by himself or with some new local friends. Linell is a lifetime musician. He grew up in the church, which has crafted his style and skill. Started as a drummer who was “asked” to sing in his local church.

Roscoe Foster & the Rascal Theory are a powerhouse band on a mission to make you move and groove with their electrifying blend of Funk, Rock, and Blues.
