Party Knife

Party Knife with Dead Man Bordeaux and Skintones

Doors 7PM / Show 8PM

$10

The band Party Knife, originally known as Knife Party, (not to be confused with the EDM duo) is reuniting for a special performance on August 1st at the Bur Oak to raise money for cancer research! Hailing from Marshall, WI, they brought a big sound of rock and Nu Metal to the Madison scene from 2002 to 2010, influenced by early 2000 bands like the Deftones, Staind, and Taproot. The reunion show will feature original members Cole Simmons on lead vocals and guitar, Matt Bomkamp on bass, and filling in for Tom Hellenbrand is Steve Lee on drums. Come to a Party Knife bash to bash cancer!

Discography: Undechtotomy (2003); Fear of Change (2004). Unreleased: Break, Blue Eyes, Abuse, and Complicated.

Dead Man Bordeaux is a singer songwriter and all around musician. You won't be disappointed with what he puts into his performances. Unleashing raw energy across genres, Deadman Bordeaux blends gritty authenticity with a touch of charm and humor. Get ready for a musical journey that's as real as it gets.

The Skintones continue to refine the unholy trifecta of punk, metal, and dark humor with just enough pop and classic rock sensibilities to appeal to the masses. The Skintones get heavier and even more confrontational on their new album, Coming to Collect. Sometimes it is difficult to know when the band is being serious and when it is having a go at stereotypes, but these 25-year Madison music scene veterans have the nerve to tell it like it is and the chops to back it up.
