Marty Bush
Firmly rooted in the sounds of troubadour country of the 60’s and 70’s, Marty Bush crafts heart-wrenching songs of love and loss. Pairing intricate guitar work with timeless lyricism and a powerful baritone voice, his bourbon-soaked tales of sorrow take listeners on a hell bent journey to the lonesome honky-tonks and juke joints of days gone by.
An accomplished musician of multiple genres, Marty has found success in multiple projects over the years from his teenage days in Lawrence, KS hardcore outfit Salt the Earth, to recent years fronting Season of Mist heavy metal recording artists Hyborian. As a writer, he recently published his first novel The Traveller - A Hyborian Tale to critical acclaim in conjunction with the release of the concept album Hyborian - Volume II.
Recruiting the aid of an all-star backing band including Devon Teran (Timbers, AM Merker) on pedal steel and dobro, Kian Byrne (The Elders) on fiddle and mandolin, Adam Watson (Dusty Rust, Old No. 5s) on drums, and Brandon Day (The Matchsellers) on upright bass, he entered the studio in November of 2021 to record his first solo full-length album; released 2/10/2022 and titled “The Long Way Home”. You can find him playing shows, both solo and with his band, throughout the Kansas City area and the Midwest region.
“…a canyon-deep baritone that most country singers would eat their hat to have.” - Bandcamp Daily
Natalie Prauser:
Natalie Prauser blends the introspection of the 60’s Laurel Canyon folk scene with the attitude of 70’s outlaw country. Whiskey infused lyrics combine loving, leaving, and honky tonk debauchery with a morning-after self-awareness that longs for stability.
